The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. (Psalms 34:19 NLT)
David must have been very afraid when he stood before King Abimelech. He pretended to be insane in order to save his own life; to be seen as competent would have gotten him executed. So as David wrote a praise hymn in tribute to God for deliverance, he mentions being delivered from fear & fearful situations numerous times.
The clear majority of things we fear never take place. Yet we struggle daily with a series of “what ifs” that paralyze faith. How do we know the difference between faith & wisdom? By coming to God for guidance. Where he leads works!
