Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning.” (Job 42:12 NKJV)
As my wife and I came out of Walmart yesterday, an older woman was walking ahead of us to her car, which happened to be next to ours. Her license plate read “JOB4212”. When I asked her what is said, she quoted this verse with a smile!
She apparently had lived a good life, if her attire and car were an indicator. Yet, she didn’t want her early life to be all the enjoyment she had, but to live an even more fulfilling life in her latter years! Can life with arthritis and sensory loss still be rewarding? Yes! And I believe more so, because priorities change and enjoyment comes easier.
Life is meant to be lived at all ages! To the senior saints, keep showing us that life can still be enjoyed and God will use us! Lay the claim to the final heritage of Job’s life! And to the younger, be okay with aging, enjoying every stage of life for the treasure that the day brings! You are loved!
