God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.” (Matthew 5:8 NLT)

The average professional golfer practices 6-8 hours a day, practicing specific shots, as well as playing rounds of golf. While they know how to play and are certified to play at a professional status, they must maintain a lifelong habit of practice in order to stay at that level. For those that do, the payoff is both big and awesome.

In the Christ Life, once we’ve started our personal journey of faith, the work begins. We must daily learn about God through the Bible and good teaching. By spending time in two-way prayer, we are developing a stronger relationship. While we have that status of “Saved”, we must maintain our purity daily, making sure that as temptation comes, it does not have a chance to erode our strength.

To be good at anything, you must perform well by diligent practice. Our faith is no different. Take your time today to come into God’s presence. Daily practice leads to daily purity! You are loved today! (4/21/14)
