So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord…making us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” (2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT)
When you’ve lived in the country most of your life like I have, you pay attention to light reflectors. Sometimes it’s on road posts, warning you that a curve is in front of you, so slow down. Other times it’s a deer’s shining eyes, warning you to approach with caution because they will react to your passing with unpredictability. Sometimes it’s also the finish on road signs, making sure you are on the right way to your destination.
As we keep our eyes on God, simply doing our best to live to His standards, His light reflects off of us for others to see. By seeing us walk the Christ Life path, they’ll know how to properly handle life’s difficulties, how to guard against the likelihood of temptations, and follow us from a distance to see where the path leads because they don’t know the way to true life. It’s not about how great we lead, but how well we reflect!
The Christ Life really is a simple one, if you follow the “reflectors” God puts in your life. Live the life that reflects God well and you’ll be surprised how many will make Heaven by the example you’ve shown! You are loved today! Let it shine!
