Vice President Henry A. Wallace. Hall of Fame Basketball player Charles Barkley. Nobel Peace Prize winner Norman Borlaug. What do these three high-achieving people have in common? All three are from small towns: Orient, IA, Leeds, AL, and Cresco, IA, respectively. Big names from little places.

In truth, many successful people come from humble roots. What grips us though, just as it did with Jesus’ neighbors, is that our pride and jealousy keep us from believing in others because our own low esteem won’t allow us to see ourselves in a good light. If we love our neighbors as we do ourselves, then we’ll hate them too, just as we do ourselves.

Be a person that believes for the best in others! Many around you, including You, can do so much better in life if someone will just believe in them and be given the chance. Open doors for others and you’ll find your own pathways enlarging! Bloom mightily in your small places! You are loved today!
