The LORD is good and does what is right; He shows the proper path to those who go astray.” (Psalms‬ ‭25‬:‭8‬ NLT)

Jesse, a ginger tomcat, was 18 months old when he escaped from his cage in Staffordshire, England. Owners Lesley and Colin Corbett, and their daughters, Grace and Saskia, searched the area for days and put up posters – but they gave up hope of ever seeing him again as the years went by. But thanks to a microchip, the long-wandering cat was identified and brought back home eight years later. That’s almost an entire lifetime!

At some point, we all deviate from God’s best plan for our life. While some moments may be slight, others can last for years and leave remarkable scars. The good news, much like Jesse’s, is that there is always a way back home and into a life of planned purpose. It also leads to healing and restoration from the pain of our disobedience!

Whether through obstinance or guilt, many choose to stay gone. Don’t let your heart harden towards God. Come home! Whatever makes us run is never worth the result of our disobedience. Choose the path that leads to life, peace, and restoration! You are loved and wanted back home!
