“There is no Rock like our God. No one will succeed by strength alone.” (1 Samuel‬ ‭2‬:‭2, 9‬ NLT)

Katrina Sweet has spent most of her life looking for stability. Having been sexually abused in her home as well as her church, she was devastated and feeling as if nowhere was safe. As her latest destructive relationship fell apart, Katrina, single mother of two, drove to a nearby bridge to end her life of pain.

Sensing the need to give God one more chance, she prayed as she stared over the edge. “I remember praying one word,” she said later. “I cried one word, ‘Help!’ ‘Help’ is what I said. I feel like God heard my cry for help. And I didn’t know how my life was going to turn out; I just had a sense that everything was going to be okay.” Today, Katrina is recovered and leading others back from the brink.

Are you in a place where your strength isn’t enough to fix it? Our God is a strong and mighty Father, full of love and compassion for you, regardless of how you have felt towards Him. Turn to Him today, like Katrina, and let Him save the day! You are loved!

“And Jesus said to her, ‘Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.'” (John 8:11 NKJV)

Bill Gates didn’t seem like a shoe-in for success after dropping out of Harvard and starting a failed first business with Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen called Traf-O-Data. Scholar Isaac Newton was a failure at both school & farming. Dick Cheney flunked out of Yale twice, Jerry Seinfeld froze on stage, Lucille Ball was an early B-rated actress & Tom Landry’s first 5 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys were horrible before he led them to a Super Bowl victory. Twice.

Everyone deserves a “do-over”. Failing, even with God, doesn’t make you a Failure. He knows we are prone to sin, yet loves us & uses us still. And each time we fail, He’s there to pick you up, set you back on track & says, “Go, try it again and don’t fall for that sin anymore”. And when you do, He’s still there.

Start your new year right by living on God’s terms. Let old mistakes be swept away with a breath of Grace, knowing that God wants you to thrive in Life & the Christ Life more than you do! Your succeeding is just around the corner from here! Go live it! You are loved today!
