Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior.” (1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭2-3‬ NLT)

Ever been frustrated with leadership? I’ve had bosses cuss me, accuse me of theft, and make judgments against me while favoring those actually doing wrong. I’ve watched our government leaders vote and create policies that undermined God and our nation. Nothing like bad leaders to make you appreciate good ones!

The Bible is very clear on the fact that our main responsibility as Christians is to pray for them, not gripe. By bringing our leaders to God, we give Him the opportunity to shape their thoughts and bring conviction, making our lives blessed and better!

Take time today to pray for those who rule over you, from the White House to your house. Pray for your spiritual leaders to help make you godlier. If we do, we will be blessed! You are loved today!

This letter is from Paul and Timothy, slaves of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:1 NLT)

Between 14,500 and 17,500 people are trafficked into the U.S. each year, according to a 2005 report from the U.S. State Department. Though America ranks around 130th out of roughly 164 nations, it still affects the one person involved: the modern slave. Their goal would be to find freedom again.

It would stand to reason, then, that the politically-correct crowd would hate the biblical use in this verse, where God’s people refer to themselves as slaves or servants of God. Our idea is not one of hostage-taking or exploitation, but the realization that we were bought with a price (Jesus’ sacrifice) and understand that life is better when lived according to God’s plan and not our own (submission). No hate, no violence, no exploitation, just a beautiful relationship with the Creator of our life!

Slavery in the world needs to end. No one deserves to live like that. Take a moment today to pray for those held in bondage, that God would keep raising up liberators. Then ask God to help you be ok with being submitted to His plan. Ours leads to heartache, but His always leads to a better life! You are truly loved today!
