“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”(Genesis‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

In 1909, paleontologist Charles Doolittle Walcott made an amazing find of fossils in Canada. He shipped over 60,000 pieces to the Smithsonian Museum where he kept his find a secret until his death. Once discovered, Walcott’s work was revived and several publications began ballyhooing “Biology’s Big Bang”.

One fascinating report was the Dec. 4, 1995, edition of TIME Magazine, which stated thus:

“In a burst of creativity like nothing before or since, nature appears to have sketched out the blueprints for virtually the whole of the animal kingdom. This explosion of biological diversity is described by scientists as biology’s Big Bang…There is no fossil record of life above the single cell and the brief appearance of the Ediacaran Fauna before the Cambrian explosion. There is no record of new phyla emerging later on, not even in the wake of mass extinction that occurred 250 million years ago, at the end of the Permian period.”

Without transitionary fossils, science is left wondering at the sudden appearance of life. But for the Christian, we know it as Creation, described in Genesis! God has a design for all life, including yours, and it’s still being unveiled today! Study deeper on God’s intelligent designs! You are loved! (9/1/15)
